Before I started wearing LipSense, my cosmetics only stayed on for a brief time. It is such a bummer when you spend 30 minutes in the morning putting on makeup only to look in the mirror at around noon to see that the makeup had disappeared. What is even worse is when you put on mascara and you see it has run under your eyes and you have dark circles that you never imagined could exist.

At one point, I said “why bother” and went au natural. Unfortunately, I am too vain and couldn’t stand to see myself in the mirror. Then I started trying the available long lasting brands that were on the market. At that time, there were two brands: LipSense and Color Stay. This was 10 years ago. I tried the easier one first: Color Stay. It dried my lips and I didn’t like the way it felt. Plus it was difficult to take off. Then I tried the LipSense.

LipSense was very different. LipSense is made with cosmetic grade alcohol as the base. Some would think that alcohol would dry your lips, and they would be right. However, the color technology of LipSense requires the application of color followed by moisturizer. Before I used LipSense I was prone to cold sores but I haven’t had one in 10 years because LipSense also protects the lips.

Ten years ago when I started wearing long lasting cosmetics, I was working in Corporate America as Director of Product Development for a software company. Once I tried LipSense, I began to think of other women who suffer from the same issues as I did. I was thrilled that I could purchase the products at a discount and sell them to my friends. Before long, my business evolved into a full-time position allowing me complete time flexibility.

It all started with that one application of LipSense 10 years ago.

Kellys Krush is more intense than Pink Shimmer. Kellys Krush has a nice sparkle to it. The closest color to Kellys Krush is Sugar Plum LipSense. I find it interesting to see the three colors on the same screen. This can really help when selecting a lip color.

I really love the Cotton Candy LipSense.  It is really shear and gives a very natural look with a hint of pink.

Beautiful LipSense Shades for Summer

• Kiss with a Cause:  This pretty pink color is similar to Fantasy Fuscia (a discontinued LipSense Color) but it more “pink” (if that is possible).  I feel in love with this new LipSense color and it has become my new favorite.
• Carmel Apple:  This new LipSense actually sold out within 2 weeks of release.  It is a red with some orange undertones but alas, colors are very difficult to describe in a Blog.  My buddy Kaylen probably bought the whole stock of it because it became her favorite color.
• Strawberry Shortcake: Vibrant pink LipSense similar to Summer Treat (discontinued) and Fuscia (but not as bright) this is also a pleasers who are fond of pink LipSense.  To me it runs a close second to Kiss for a Cause. – By the way, some of “Kiss For A Cause proceeds” go to Breast Cancer Research.
• Cotton Candy:  Light and sheer, this LipSense color looks great on top of all of the LipSense colors.  If you want just a little color, Cotton Candy LipSense is for you.
• Rhubarb: Looking for red LipSense?  Here is your opportunity.  Once this was a lip liner color and now it is both a lip liner and a LipSense color.  This color isn’t as bright as Blu-Red and not as pink as Cranberry – just right!
• Berry: Finally another Plum LipSense lover lip color.  Berry is not as purple as the Plum and looks great with Plum, Sparkling Bordeaux (discontinued), Garnet LipSense and Raisin LipSense.
